True North Mark At Work

Hi Everyone,

As you have probably figured out by now Marky Mark and I headed out on Wednesday evening for a shoot and we picked a really great night to head out.  The colours were simply amazing and we were like two kids in a candy store!

Anyway this is just a warm up photo of Mark taking a photo of the amazing sunset.  He’s a little blurred but that is only because you can’t get him to sit still for more than one second.  Now, off to work on the real photos.

really great shot Jamie. The colours look really natural, I like the more subtle pastle colours than the deep dark reds. Really good processing mate! I presuming this is an exposure for the sky and one for the water, so your blending together is seamless. looks super natural!

      Hi Matt,

Thanks for that mate. As Mark was saying it was an incredibly beautiful sunset but really hard to capture. Funnily enough I did almost nothing to this photo at all, because Mark was in it so I considered it more of a snapshot than a proper photo. I think filter selection might have had something to do with it instead. Normally I’m pretty heavy handed and I use a 5 stop GND but this time around I used a 3 stop GND as I wanted a much brighter sky.

Anyhow I’m glad you enjoyed it. You wait until you see the next one. 🙂

      Hi Chloe,

Thank you very much. Not as good as a Hawaiian sunset I’m sure. 🙂
