Hovea Falls Recon Run

hovea falls australian landscapes seascapes

Hi Everyone,

On Friday evening I thought I’d take a quick trip up into the hills to see if any of the waterfalls had started to run after all the rainfall we had.   I decided to head up to Hovea Falls as they were the easiest to get to.    I’m happy to say that yes there was some water flow but I think they need another couple of weeks of rain before they really start to flow at their maximum.    So back to being patient again, I think August is the best month for waterfalls in Perth.   What do you guys think?   Perhaps we should all head down south and find some decent waterfalls in the meantime.   :-)

Thanks,

Mini Waterfall at the Beach

Hi Everyone,

Just a minature waterfall I spotted whilst down at the beach.   I thought it was really ‘cute’.    This was an 8 image stitch.

Waterfall Take 2

Hi Everyone,

A little something I took last weekend.   It was 8 images stiched together using the 50mm F1.2.   Again this was shot with Neal and Kirk and we got some awesome shots.    The best thing about being out and about on Sunday was that we got to see the most awesome sunset, in fact it was so good that I decided to just stand and absorb it all.  Was a great feeling.    We spent the Saturday and Sunday scrambling all over rocks and cliff faces so much so that I was struggling to walk until Thursday as I was that cramped up.

The Illustrious and Intrepid Landscape Photographers – Neal and Kirk

Here is a short video of Neal and Kirk crossing a small creek at the bottom of a waterfall that we encountered this weekend.  I was taking the video and wisely decided to go last. 😉

Waterfall

What an awesome photography I’ve had.   I met up with Neal and Kirk yesterday morning and this afternoon as we were checking out a new place and squeezing every last drop out of it.   My legs are killing me from stacks of rock climbing (never follow Kirk hehe).   Any how thanks to the two of you for allowing me to tag along.   This photo is something I’ve quickly stiched together to show everyone.  I’ve got others that I’ll work on and perfect later.

Old Man Tree

This was a shot I captured whilst I was shooting with Neal and Kirk this morning.   This tree kind of caught my eye.  It was a fantastic morning and as always I just couldn’t wait to drag out my camera and get cracking!    I met Neal at Noble Falls at around 0600 this morning and Kirk wasn’t far behind.  We spent ages shooting in this location and its definitely got stacks of potential.   Afterwards we headed back down the road to the nearest roadhouse to partake in a much needed morning coffee.   It was heaps of fun and I’ll definitely tackle this spot again in the near future.

Noble Falls Recon

I got bored this afternoon and had some time up my sleeves so I decided to follow up on a converstation I was having with Kirk and Neal this morning and did a recon run to Noble Falls.    I met two really nice photographers Michael and Cory who turned up to get some sunset shots.   I was only there for a recon run so I took a couple of quick shots and then left them to it.   This is definitely a shot I would like to tackle in the early morning.
