Double Rainbow – Injidup

rainbow, injidup, seascape photography, australian landscape photography, landscape photography

Yep.  Another file that has been sitting on my Mac for about one and a half years, not because I didn’t like it but just because I forgot about it.   I’d been setting up at Yallingup main break for a sunset shoot, but couldn’t shake the feeling that I really wasn’t in the right place.   Something kept telling me to head on over to Injidup Point and I decided to listen and jump in the car with only a few minutes to spare to get there.

As I was driving into the carpark I was presented with this scene.  A double rainbow as a rain shower was passing.   I stopped the car, grabbed the camera and popped off this shot before heading down to the beach.  I’m pretty happy now that I took the shot as I reckon its a pretty cool shot.   The afternoon glow from the setting sun along with the rainbows is just another visual splendor that I’ve managed to experience at Injidup.

Double Up At Injidup

Injidup Point Beach Waves Surf Australian Landscape Photography

Hi Everyone,

This is a shot from where else but Injidup Point, where the surf is always nice.  Well not always but it just seems that way when I’m down there.   I’ve only been in the US for a few hours and I’m missing home already.   Qantas have completed stuff up my flights so I’ve spent the past few hours in a hotel here in San Francisco waiting for another flight that leaves for Houston at midnight.   I wish I hadn’t asked Melissa to carry my camera back to Perth now when we parted ways in Sydney.   I could’ve got out to the Golden Gate Bridge and had an attempt at photographing that.

On a positive note I got some pretty awesome photos of Hobart and Cradle Mountain which I can’t wait to share with you guys when I get back home.

Hope you’re all having fun in the nice hot weather back home!

Injidup Point

wydup

Injidup Point would have to be my most absolute favourite chill out spot down south.   I could spend absolutely hours just hanging out here and not worrying about what the rest of the world is doing.  If you’re lucky enough you can see whales relaxing almost in the surf zone and I’ve seen heaps of dolphins in this bay surfing when the waves are up as well.

So this is the ‘prime spot’ I desperately had to cling onto in mosquito ridden conditions and with Kirk and Neal throwing big rocks at me and sticks to try and get me to move (ok maybe I exagerated the rocks and stones bit a little).

Enjoy!
