Windy Harbour

seascape photography, australian landscape photography, australian beach photography

Have you ever had one of those days that were just perfect? This photo was taken on one of those days down in Windy Harbour, which happens to be one of the prettiest spots I’ve ever seen on the South West coast.  I had my family with me, my two boys were running through the water and my wife, my beautiful, glorious wife was just glowing in the sunshine.

My best friend was there just contemplating life as well. I’m a lucky guy.

This photo will remind me of that day for ever. I am so grateful.  It was also taken on my brand new camera, I have to admit I didn’t want to stop shooting with my Canon 1Ds MkIII but this new one quite literally blows it out of the water.

Thanks,

Jamie

Daybreak Dream

sunrise, stirlings, albany, australian landscape photography, australian photographer, western australia

This image is extremely special to me.  Why?  Its the first time in my travels to the Stirling Ranges that I’ve truly been able to capture clouds at Bluff Knoll.

Seriously up until now it seemed like I was going to be the only photographer to have not personally seen clouds at the Stirling Ranges!   I was just so overjoyed when I woke up in the morning and drove up to Bluff Knoll to see this unfold before my eyes.

It just goes to show that with photography you need to persist and keep trying to get the shot that you visualised no matter what.

Thanks,

Jamie Paterson

Cosy Corner

Hi Everyone,

This weekend I managed to make my way to a little place called Cosy Corner.  I saw it last December when I was in the area with Mark and some other fellow photographers, unfortunately I had just tore my calf muscle so I couldn’t really get out of the car.   Its a great little spot and I just knew I had to return, so when I had the chance to head down south this weekend, this was the second place I hit, after Injidup Beach of course.

I reckon Cosy Corner would be a great place to go for a snorkel and to pick up some crayfish as well.  So does it look nice and cosy to you guys?

Thanks,

Jamie Paterson

Dawn Princess

Okay I had to do it.  Three posts in one day!   After shooting at Cottesloe Beach I saw this cruise ship heading into Fremantle Harbour so I headed down to Fremantle to capture her on her way in.   Her name is the Dawn Princess and she certainly looked really amazing nudging her way through the heads.

Thanks,

Jamie Paterson
