Starfish Beach

seascape photography, fremantle, australian photographer, sunset

Hi Everyone,

Well I guess a lot of you will be up at the Avon Descent getting some amazing shots from one of the best Avon Descents in years.  Can’t wait to see them.

I saw a nice little front building up mid afternoon so I decided to head down to the coast and grab some photos at sunset.  I’m glad I did, there wasn’t a lot of colour but it was really moody and lasted for ages.

Though this photo is called starfish beach (because of the two starfish in the bottom of the frame), it felt more like a starfish cemetery, there were literally hundreds of them all washed up on the beach.  I guess the recent storms have thrown them all up on the beach.

Its sad to see but I guess that is the cycle of nature.   If you’d like to see more seascape photography please visit my site.

Thanks,

Jamie Paterson

      Hi Brett,

Thanks for that mate. Its from that little beach wedged in between the North Mole and Port Beach. Surfers call it Sandtracks I believe.
