I spent ages last night trying to work out how I could have stuffed putting together my filter holder. It is designed to hold 4 x 6 filters and the filters weren’t fitting. After dismantling the holder and putting it back together again the filters still weren’t fitting so I went to bed indisgust.
This afternoon when I got home a flash of brilliance struck me, perhaps the extremely expensive filters I paid for weren’t actually 4in wide. I got out the tape measure and guess what? Two are not 4in wide though they are close. One is actually much closer to 3.5in wide than 4in. I am going to contact Singh Ray now and ask them to send me filters that are actually 4in wide. How hard can it be to deliver the correct product?

Damn that is not good to hear Jamie. A vast number of pros use their filters and they have a blog run by dozens of these pros, something must of got terribly wrong for this to happen.
But I gotta ask, hows the reverse ND 😉 ?
Yeah but why did it have to happen to me? 🙁 If you measure you’re filters are they exactly 4in?
Yep they are all 4 here. I ask that question myself all the time 🙁
Great news!!! I spoke to Bob from Singh Ray Filters and he is shipping out another filter tomorrow via FedEx to me for free, he was extremely nice and apologetic and I was extremely satisfied with his response.
Neil I’ve not used the reverse grad yet. 🙁
Not good to hear mate ,
I thought it would be pretty simple to make them to the right size
Jamie that sucks! At least they were cool about sending the right ones!
Whats a reverse grad?
Dylan,
