Injidup Beach

Hi Everyone,

Now that the exhibition is over I have a bit more time to relax and head out and starting taking photos again.  It seems like ages since I last headed out on a photography adventure.   Now before I tell you about this photo please make sure you go and check out Andrea Green’s new blog and say hi.

This shot was taken August last year just as the sun was breaking.  There had been stacks of rain and I hadn’t managed to really pull off any shots at all so I decided to head over to my spiritual home Injidup Beach because it almost always delivers.   Well I definitely wasn’t disappointed, as the sun began to rise I was presented with this awesome stormy scene and the wet rocks were throwing up a great red.    The 1Ds copped an absolute soaking on this day and it still managed to deliver.

I really think its time to take a trip back down south soon and check out a few new areas that I managed to scout out just before Christmas and soak up the whole South West atmosphere again.  This photo was taken using F11, ISO50 with a 20sec exposure.

Have a great long weekend everyone,

Jamie Paterson

Love the tones in this one Jamie – I’d like to see it printed and hung.

      Hi Muzz,

Thanks for that and thanks for coming down to the exhibition. I think I’m a bit over hanging photos for awhile!

Cool shot and spot, I like it Jamie. In fact it reminds me of a similar’ish looking place here, that I also have shot with a slowed shutter speed and ominous skies.

    cheers,

Hi Tony. Thanks for stopping by mate. I’m heading back down there again soon, so I’m pretty excited. There must be heaps of places like this down at ‘The Prom’.
