I Want To Be Here!

varanus beach water australian landscape seascape

Hi Gang,

Another photo from our trip away.  Again I focused heavily on the water and trying to convey just how nice it was.  I think I’ve managed to capture the water fairly well another shot to be proud of……. hopefully.    After seeing photos like this its really hard to go out and take shots around town when you just know they aren’t going to come close to photos like this.

Oh and if you want to know if the water was warm or not?   It was!   It was nice and warm and you couldn’t keep me out of it.   I think Mike was the only other one brave enough to go swimming. 🙂   Could you imagine going for a swim right now in Perth?   I couldn’t.

Stay tuned for more!

i really like your empahsis on the water, jamie. did you have to stand in it to take this shot or were you on a sand bank?

      Hi Katie,

Thank you for your comment. I took the shot from a boat that is able to go into very shallow water. That boat made life so easy.

      Hi Flemming,

Thanks mate for the great comment. I’m guessing we may see a few shots like this from yourself when you end up in Thailand soon.

    Hey Jamie I’m here…..

Both great shots but I prefer the one in the post before, it seems to say a bit more to me.

i was talking to someone who just came back from Exmouth this morning and they said the water was freezing , they go that way a bit and said it’s the coldest they can remember.

    Hi Jamie,

I can definitely see the Larry Mitchell influence coming into play here!

    Nice work.

Not sure about the similcast this week unless Merv is up for an underwater challenge!

I am on True North at the Rowley Shoals from tomorrow arvo on for about 6 days so all of my images will have a water or underwater focus.

Maybe the theme could be sharks…but I bet Merv might have something to say about that…like…yeah right!!!

    Cheers,

    Mark

I could put up some photos of me diving with the Great Whites off South Australia. That would impress Merv.

Hey you can put up what you like about sharks as long as you don’t expect me to get in with them, I’m dry land guy!!!

I need water to be close by. I’m not a inland sort of person. Funny Christian and Mike wouldn’t get into the water when we were in the island for some reason. We saw that reason one day in the helicopter, a dirty great big Tiger Shark.

mate, there are too many bities in that water. Remember that sand bank with about 30 sharks on it, the sharks in the channel near where this pic was taken and the shark that was chasing that school of fish past the boat. Nup not going there!
