Hi Everyone,
This is a photo that I’d taken 18tmhs ago and completely forgotten about. I struggled to sleep last night so I was just trawling through my images at 1am in the morning when I saw this and started to play with it. I was really attracted to the golden rays of light washing over the entire scene.
It took me about 20mins to drive to this place and then another 10mins to walk here and I have to admit it was certainly worth the walk. After seeing this I’m definitely going to have to go back and grab some more shots. This was one of those places were you felt like you were the only person on Earth and that nothing else mattered, it was almost mystical.
I hope you guys enjoy it. All comments are always welcome.
Thanks,
Jamie Paterson

It’s a beauty Jamie!
Hi Tim,
Thanks for that mate. I am pretty proud of this one. 🙂

Flip, that is awesome. Wonderful image Jamie. Has so much emotion in it. Maybe an ever so slight soft light gradient at about 45 degrees from the bottom left to help accentuate the sun’s rays would add extra drama. It’s always hard to get the exposure bang on for brightly lit scenes which loads of shadow areas but you’ve done really well here.
Hi Grant,
Great idea about the gradient, I’ll give it a go and see what it looks like. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Hi Jamie, Nice image mate.
Hi Ben,
Thank you and thanks for commenting as well. Always appreciated.

Cool image Jamie.
Only nit is the flare/muck on the rock. It is always a challenge shooting directly into the sun as any dust/marks on the lens really show up.
The image wouldn’t be the same without the sunburst though , the beams are really pronounced. Nice work!
Hi Luke,
Thanks for that. I’ll check it out and see if I can’t fix it. Appreciate the comment.

Very nice Jamie – I bet some more gold can be hauled from this spot too !
cheers,
Hey Tony. I reckon there is more gold there as well. Just visited Chrisitan’s gallery so I’m all fired up again.

Great to hear Jamie ! I hope you have a ball experiencing and shooting there again 🙂
Thanks mate. Should be good with some winter swells screaming through.
