Deepwater Point Sunset

Hi Everyone,

I just had a feeling tonight was going to be a great night to be get a photo and fortunately I was right.   After missing out on all the beautiful sunrises and sunsets this week I was determined to get something this weekend.   So as I said I could just feel tonight was going to be awesome so I decided to make my way down to Deepwater Point Jetty as its only a few minutes away and look what unfolded before me, there has been no colour saturation done on this.

Hope you enjoy,

Jamie Paterson

That is some incredibly gorgeous light you caught there! Lovely clouds and colours!

I feel a bit removed from the action here though, I would love to walk further out the jetty and see the view zoomed in on the city and those clouds.

Very nice Jamie, I like the glow of the fading sun on the jetty rails.

    Ni Neal,

That is what I really liked about this photo as well. That and that the wood looks really aged in this photo.

    Hi Stephen,

Thanks very much, yeah I just loved the wood in this photo.

    Hi Luke,

Thank you as well. I was thinking about taking this small piece of sand out, but thought no I like it, so I left it in (obviously LOL).

    Christian,

Welcome back to the ‘real world’.

    Nice sunset Jamie !

I like soft warm light on the timber along the righthand side of the jetty. But I’m not so sure if the sand/shore in the bottom left of frame compliments the beautiful image too well though. (?)

Did you take many other shots/compositions from this unreal twilight ?

    cheers,
    tone 🙂

    Hi Kirk,

Welcome back we should catch up this weekend. Did you get your Opera House shots.

    Hi Tone,

This was the shot that I liked the most. I may yet cut out that bit of water but I like it for now.
