What can I say? I’m back into my early mornings again probably more so than evenings at the moment. There is something so refreshing and cleansing about being up at the start of a brand new day. I captured this seascape shot about a week ago after a trip up to Burns Beach. What a great spot for a seascape photographer to go crazy.
Hope you guys enjoy it!

Jamie
Jamie,
Way to go, still got the touch.
As you can guess the 1 on my living room wall has gone down a treat.
Keep it up mate.
Gav
Hi Gav,
Thanks for the comment mate. I love the fact that you’ve got that photo on your wall. I’ll have to turn up to your next party so that you can tell everyone the photographer is at your party! hehe.

Very nice mate, and I agree, there is something about the mornings that make it worth while getting up for..
Rod
Hi Rod,
Thanks very much mate. The only bad things about the morning is that I feel so ripped off if they don’t fire.

Curious about how much you lag your shutter to get that surreal movement of the water. In some situations when it is extremely bright outside it is hard to do that. How do you deal with that?
Thanks,
Uriel
Hi Uriel,
Water blurring is pretty much impossible during daylight hours unless you have a really dark ND grad on, something like the Hoya NDX400 or the Singh Ray Vari N Duo filter. All of my shots with blurred water are just before sunrise and just after sunset. Hope that helps.
