Blackwall Reach Boats

Blackwall Reach near Fremantle would have to be one of my more favourite spots on the Swan River.   Despite all the boat traffic going by its actually a very peaceful place to be.   Its also a pretty cool spot to go diving as there are stacks of boats sitting on the bottom here, bikes are down there and I’ve even found the remains of an old truck down here.

If you’re into prawn diving this is one of the best spots in the Swan River to get them.  Normally they are between 9M and 14M of water and on a good night you could easily bring in a kilo of prawns.   Perhaps one of the best things about this area is that its full of seahorses just below the surface.  I could almost guarantee that if you went for a snorkel or dive around here you would find at least one seahorse.

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend.  I certainly did.

Thanks,

Jamie Paterson
