Bennion Beach Sunset

australian landscape photography, australian seascape photography, bennion beach, seascapes, landscapes

Seems like today is the day for posting with Christian and Mark competing for the most amount of posts put up in an hour!   This photo was from last Saturday.   What do you do when its pouring with rain?  Head down to the beach of course.   To get this shot I quite literally had to find a big rock to hide behind and duck out and setup and then shoot in between rain squalls.  I’d usually get a couple of minutes between each rain shower, you could just see the wall of rain coming screaming across the water and you’d have about 30 seconds before it hit and hit hard.

After this shot I decided to head back to the car and get home and stand in front of the heater to thaw out.  Hope you guys enjoy it.  All comments appreciated.

Thanks,

Jamie Paterson

Yes it’s one big posting and commenting riot today!

Again, you are the wave king Jamie, I really love the look and feel of the waves here. For me, the waves and beautiful clouds are the subject, so I would crop a lot of the bottom

Hey Flemming. Wave King? lol. I think this actually going to be the last time I hit the beach for awhile. Its time to start heading inland again. I’m starting to feel a little too comfortable with seascapes. Its time to start pushing myself again.

Thanks very much. I think this is one of my more favourite seascape shots from this year.

Now I am missing the beach more that the usual. Wouldn’t it be nice to run off to the beach and shoot away. That would be an awesome day.

Thanks for sharing this great shot! Hoping to see more!

These are indeed images of inspiration. I have been in a dire need for a heap of that these few days. Writer’s block is so hard to battle these days. Thanks for your shots now I feel refreshed.

Hey Jamie, how long have you been shooting seascapes? This is an amazing shot, the composition is awesome too! Man your very patient to say the least, having to wait thru the rain for gaps. Well, you have this beautiful shot after. Perfect reward right there.
