Stranded in Applecross

A few weeks ago I was on my way home from work.   I looked across the river from the train and saw this boat lying on the river bank and I thought it was a great subject to try and capture.   I also had a funny feeling that the sunset was going to be fantastic!   Its sunsets like these when its a real privilege to be a landscape photographer, these colours haven’t been saturated in Photoshop in any way, it was definitely an amazing sunset.  We get to capture the moment forever and let people see it time and time again.   Its all good fun!

I hope you guys all managed to capture some great photos over Easter.  What did everyone get up to?

    awesome shot… love the city off in the distance as well. Kind of reminds me of the Broadwater here on the Gold Coast

    NIce shot mate.

    Funny, Christian and I both commented on that boat on Thursday evening as we walked past it enroot to go to dinner with Les Walkling and we didn’t take a shot as we were in a hurry…glad you got it mate!

    It’s a great shot. I live on the 5th floor above where the boat is and took pictures of it all week.

    Your sunset shot is great – I missed that but I am a morning person and shot it several mornings in a row.

    I got a shot the day after the storm with all the strom clouds (http://rmlewis1.wordpress.com/2010/04/06/after-the-storm/)

    Great colour combinaion in your shot.
